On Sunday, February 5, 2012, we welcomed Rev. Dr. Scott Kenefake
as our Interim Minister. Scott is an ordained Presbyterian Church USA pastor who has served UCC churches in the KO Conference.
Scott received a Doctorate in Ministry from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and a J.D. from Washburn Law School.
He has been a full time hospice chaplain with Grace Hospice and will keep his commitment to that job on a part-time basis
while he leads us through transition here at Central.
Scott and his wife, Gail, have two children. The family brings
much to Central including Christian Education experience and Musical talent as well as a wealth of experience as an intentional
interim pastor.

Janet Nyfeler
Janet began as office administrator in July 2004. She is a former member of Central Congregational and currently
a member and choir director of West Side Baptist Church. Janet is a lifetime Kansan, born in Topeka and has spent most
of her life living and working in Topeka. Janet's sons, Sam, David, and Grant, also live in Topeka. Her favorite
past-time is water gardening and other landscaping and yard work. Church life and the Life of the church is important
to Janet, which is apparent by her dedication to the daily needs of the congregation and the office staff.

Linda Smith
Linda Smith is our Director of Music. She is the founder, President and
CEO of the Genesis Music Foundation, Inc., and an adjunct professor at Washburn University. Linda has a Bachelors of
Music degree from Oklahoma City University, a Masters of Music degree from Eastman School of Music, has completed all of her
course requirements for her Doctorate of Music degree from Eastman and has a degree from the Conservatoire National De Region
in Paris, France. In addition to directing the adult choir, children's choir and bell choir, Linda performs many of
her own compositions during Sunday worship.
